Entries close on Wednesday 2 October — Australian National Botanic Gardens

Ignite your passion for Australian plants and show off your artistic creativity and photographic skills through images taken in the Gardens.

This competition is now open, and closes on Wednesday 2 October. Download entry forms from the Friends website.

The competition is open to any student attending an Australian primary, high school or college. Entries can be submitted individually or through the student’s school or college. All photographs must be taken in the Australian National Botanic Gardens. This is the first year that the competition is open to primary school students.

The competition consists of three categories:

  • Monochrome
  • Colour
  • Altered Reality

Cash prizes are awarded for first to third place and for highly commended and commended winners in each category.

Additional awards are given to the photographic departments of the school/college of each first and second prize winners. There is also a people’s choice award (over all categories).

The exhibition of entries will be at the Gardens from Tuesday 30 October to Sunday 19 November. Prizes will be presented on Saturday 3 November.
