Explore the world of miniaturised Australian plants at our display of stunning native bonsai.

Bonsai artists across Australia have been using native plants to push the boundaries of the art for many years.

Presented by the Canberra Bonsai Society, the display includes works by Canberra-based and national artists, many of whom are represented at the National Bonsai and Penjing Collection.

Demonstrations are held at 2.00 pm every day. Come along to learn the techniques these artists use to train Australian plants as bonsai.

You can also join our daily guided walks to visit full-sized versions of the species in the exhibition. Walks depart from the Crosbie Morrison Building at 12.00 noon daily. Groups are restricted to 15 participants.

Fancy taking one of these beautiful bonsais home? Buy a ticket in the raffle for a chance to win your own native bonsai as well as two books.
