Join Steve Parish for a weekend workshop that includes interactive seminar sessions combined with practical photo sessions in unique botanical settings at the peak of the flowering season.
8–11 October, 10.00 am – 2.00 pm — Banks Building
Splash into nature, science and art with NatureArt Lab’s exciting school holiday program! From coasts to deserts, these holidays are all about water around the world. Experiment with different art and craft mediums each day, and learn about water systems and the creatures that live within.
Join Bush Blitz scientists as they find out what lives at the Gardens. Visit the scientists in their field lab and discover how they prepare and identify specimens.
Be part of the next Bush Blitz species discovery experience during this fun-filled and fascinating day
The day will be packed with fun hands-on educational activities for all ages, including:
• Bug collecting workshop, including making an aspirator.
• Insect drawing workshops, to learn how to draw for science.
• Guided walks to check the Bush Blitz reptile, insect and spider traps.
• Plant and animal specimen preservation demonstrations.
Every Bush Blitz involves many partnerships and the ACT Bush Blitz is no exception. We’re working with a wide range of professionals and citizen scientists to offer a diverse range of activities at the Australian National Botanic Gardens.
