Enjoy a summer evening in the Gardens sampling native delights with a Bush Tucker afterDARK experience.
Browse on canapes based on Australian meats and plants and learn about local indigenous foods during a bush tucker demonstration from your native foods cook Fred, from Fred’s Bush Tucker, an indigenous company based on the NSW south coast.

Following the dining experience, explore the Gardens on a twilight ranger-led tour where you will find out about the bush tucker plants growing at the Gardens, delve into the misty rainforest and perhaps spot some of the creatures that call this place home.
The evening’s menu will include:
- Mango curry crocodile baskets with crushed macadamia
- Kakadu plum Kangaroo tartlets
- Vegetarian frittata with warrigal greens (gluten free)
- Fresh tossed garden salad with Lemon Myrtle dressing and Bush Tomato balsamic
- Bush cordial.
Gates open at 6.45 pm on the day.
Online bookings close at midnight on the Sunday prior to the event.
Please wear shoes suitable for walking. The guided walk will include walking up and down stairs.
The event will proceed in light rain and ponchos will be provided if needed. Should the tour be cancelled for safety reasons, a notice will be posted on this ticketing page, you will be emailed, and a text message will be sent to your mobile. In the event of cancellation you will be given the choice of a refund or to reschedule.
