Fridays 26 October, 9 November, 18 January and 15 February, Times vary depending on sunset — Meet at the Crosbie Morrison amphitheatre

Join Irene Lorbergs from Canberra School of Photography for an exclusive three hour guided night photography workshop in the gardens. Learn how to 'paint with light' during sunset, dusk and the black of night.

Join NatureArt Kids Club art and science adventures for an exciting exploration of nature in the gardens.

Wednesday 22 August, Sunday 9 September & Sun 16 September, 9.00 am – 1.00 pm — Banks Building

Learn to make flower, leaf and bark dyes and  imprints on fabric. Dye a scarf to take home as well as samples of wool, silk and linen dyed in local ACT acacias and eucalypts.

There will also be a short guided walk showing a variety of wattles and eucalypts in the Gardens.

Participants will work with local textile artist Sally Blake, who has done extensive research on plant dyes, including two eucalyptus dye research projects at the Gardens. She is currently studying the 40 plus eucalypt species that grow naturally in the Australian Capital Territory. Sally has created a free Eucalyptus Dye Database with recipes and dye colours.

Workshops limited to 15 participants.

Bookings are essential as places are limited and bookings close two days prior to event.
