Learn to make eucalyptus leaf and bark dyes, and imprints on fabric with eucalyptus leaves.

Participant will work with local artist Sally Blake, dyeing a scarf to take home plus samples of wool, silk and linen with local ACT eucalypts.

Sally Blake is a local textile artist who has done extensive research on plant dyes, including two eucalyptus dye research projects at the Australian National Botanic Gardens. Sally is currently studying the 40-plus eucalypt species that grow naturally in the ACT. Sally has created a free Eucalyptus Dye Database with recipes and dye colours.

Workshops limited to 15 participants.

Bookings are essential as places are limited and bookings close two days prior to event.
