Australian National Botanic Gardens

13 – 19 June; 11.00 am – 12.00 pm — Meet at the clock near the cafe bridge

Join a free guided walk to explore how plants respond to fire and water.

Fires of varying intensities have a significant impact on Australia’s landscapes; some plants rely on or respond well to fire, while others are killed by fire. Some plants need continuous water, in wetlands, while others prefer dry conditions. See examples of all of these with a volunteer guide.

No booking required for individuals. Bookings required for groups of seven or more a week before planned walk at walks@friendsanbg.org.au
