Join local textile artist Sally Blake in a fun and creative wattle and eucalypt dyeing workshop. Learn how to make flower, leaf and bark dyes and try your new skills out on a take-home scarf using dyes from local acacias and eucalypts.
Join contemporary artist Genevieve Swifte under the rainforest canopy.
This immersive landscape course engages all of the senses to develop a series of drawings inspired by the flora, fauna, weather and light of the gardens’ temperate Rainforest Gully.
The workshop draws upon Genevieve’s PhD research and will incorporate alternative photographic processes and the amplification of trees and birdsong, allowing participants to access the hidden life of the forest to inform their drawings with both the sights and sounds of the environment.
The class welcomes young artists from 13 years old, creative professionals, complete beginners and people with all levels of ability.
