How do I book?
Book online through through Ticketek. Prices are:
- Adults: $30
- Friends of the Gardens, children under 16 and concession: $25
- Family (2 adults, 2 children): $95
- Children under 3 yrs: free
The Gardens will donate $1 from each ticket sold to the Port Macquarie Koala Hospital for conservation and research.
Can tickets be purchased on the night?
There will be a limited number of tickets available for each event night. Entry at the gate will be dependent on available tickets.
What time does the event start?
The gates open at 6.45 pm and will remain open for entry until 8.30 pm. Ticket holders are welcome to arrive at any time during this period.
Ticket holders will be able to enter the Visitor Centre, admin foyer and theatrette before beginning their self-guided walk. The walk begins at the Rainforest Gully then heads towards the Rock Garden Lawn, Eucalypt Lawn and Red Centre Garden.
What time does the event finish?
This is a self-guided walk so departure times are flexible. Ticket holders are advised to leave the Gardens before the gates close at 11 pm.
Music on the Eucalypt Lawn and food and beverage service will finish at 10.30 pm.
What happens if it rains or the event is cancelled?
The event will go ahead in light rain and we recommend you bring wet weather clothing and umbrellas.
The event will be cancelled in the event of bad weather, storms, heavy winds or a total fire ban. We will announce on social media if the event is cancelled for any reason. Ticket holders will be informed via email and will be able to transfer to later event nights.
Is the event accessible?
Please contact us at events@anbg.gov.au before purchasing a ticket if you require mobility assistance.
Due to the use of stairs in the rainforest, the event is not fully wheelchair accessible. There is reduced access for people with limited mobility as the event is not contained to the main sealed footpath.
Is there seating available?
There is limited seating supplied at the event. If you have cushions and a picnic rug, feel free to bring them along.
If you’re bringing camping chairs or similar seating that could block others’ view, please be mindful where you set up.
Can I smoke at the event?
Luminous Botanicus IV is a non-smoking event.
Are there food and drinks available at the event?
Food and drinks will be available to purchase at the Eucalypt Lawn or you can bring your own picnic.
There will be a licensed mobile bar onsite. No BYO alcohol is allowed.
Where is the best place to park?
Parking is available at the Gardens and (if necessary) our overflow carpark off Clunies Ross Street
Please do not park on Clunies Ross Street – it is not a legal parking area.
