1 July – 6 August 2023, 9:30am – 4:30pm — Australian National Botanic Gardens

See ancient creatures come to life in the Gardens with visual theatre masterminds Dead Puppet Society.

Following their migratory route to seasonal feeding grounds, three ancient diprotodons have become lost in the city and have found their way to the Australian National Botanic Gardens. As they try to make their way in the altered landscape, these visitors from a forgotten time created by visual theatre masterminds Dead Puppet Society provoke a reflection on how humans have changed this island and its creatures, and the importance of the Gardens for plant and animal conservation.

Megafauna will take up residence in a prehistoric installation in the Visitor Centre when not roving through the Gardens.

From 1 – 7 July they will rove the Gardens near the Friends Lawn and Pollen Café.

  • Saturday 1 July – 10.00am, 11.15am, 12.30pm
  • Sunday 2 July – 10.00am, 11.15am, 12.30pm
  • Tuesday 4 July – 10.00am, 11.15am, 12.30pm, 1.45pm, 2.30pm, 3.15pm
  • Wednesday 5 July – 10.00am, 11.15am, 12.30pm
  • Thursday 6 July – 10.00am, 11.15am, 12.30pm
