Australian National Botanic Gardens

28–31 January, 10.00 am – 2.00 pm — Banks Building

Have fun exploring the Gardens with NatureArt Lab’s exciting school holiday program!

With different topics each day, children will learn all about our local flora and fauna through hands-on art, craft and science activities.

Our theme for January is WHAT IS THAT?! - Exploring the oddities of the natural world. Our goal is to build children’s curiosity and compassion by asking questions, observing and journaling about the creatures we share our home with in a fun and friendly environment.

Programs are specially designed for children aged 5–12 years. Bookings are essential.

Holiday themes:

  • Tuesday 28th January
  • Wednesday 29th January
  • Thursday 30th January
  • Friday 31st January

All materials and art supplies are provided, children must bring a hat, drink bottle and packed lunch.

NatureArt Lab offers a high quality educational art program for children, run by experienced educators, science communicators and artists. We aim to support enquiry-based learning, outdoor activities, skills for life and an emphasis on the art-science interface!
