Australian National Botanic Gardens

3 March and 7 April, 9.30 am-3.00 pm — Crosbie Morrison Building

Join renowned artist Jan Vincent and learn to capture the beauty of flora and fauna through watercolour.

In these one-day workshops Jan will joyfully teach and encourage you in the mysteries of watercolour and the capture of your vision of nature. She will share with you her love and respect for nature and its intrinsic beauty from tall trees to tiny ferns and of course for flowers.

The class welcomes people over 16 years of age, and will cater for beginners as well as people with watercolour experience who want to hone and extend their skills.

Jan’s medium is watercolour, having taught, exhibited and published articles over a period of 40 years.  As Research Editor for the Australian Artist magazine, Jan gained wonderful experience and rare insight into the vast variety of talent in our country and their inspirations and accomplishments.

Come and explore the wonder of watercolour in a small, friendly group using the inspiration of the Australian National Botanic Gardens - a treasure on our doorstep. The class welcomes people over 16 years of age, preferably with some watercolour experience.
