8–12 July, 10.00 am – 2.00 pm — Banks Building
Discover and learn about nature through observation, drawing, painting, nature journaling and craft. Get to know the birds, insects, marsupials, reptiles and the unique Australian plant communities featured in the Gardens.
Experience an exclusive three-hour guided photography workshop for Wattle Day in the Gardens.
Irene Lorbergs from Canberra School of Photography will show you how to photograph different types of wattles and capture the detail of flowers, leaves and insects.
You’ll learn all about lighting, colour, composition, depth of field, angles and perspectives.
All participants must bring their own digital camera. A tripod, extra memory card, and battery are recommended. If you have a macro, 50 mm or telephoto lens then please bring this along (not essential).
This workshop is suitable for beginners and intermediate photographers aged 15 years and over. Limited to 20 participants.
Bookings are essential and close two days prior to the event.
