Australian National Botanic Gardens

Explore the Gardens through the lens and develop your students’ photography skills.

This competition is an excellent opportunity for students to become aware of the value and beauty of the Australian National Botanic Gardens and have the chance to be exhibited as a photographer in the Gardens’ Visitor Centre.

All entries must be photographs taken within the Australian National Botanic Gardens in Canberra, and feature some aspect of the Gardens, such as plants, wildlife, habitat or scenery. 

Entries due by 2 October.

The competition is open to any student attending an Australian primary, high school or college. The competition has a number of categories and cash prizes are awarded for places in each category.

Highly Commended (HC) and Commended (C) certificates are also awarded. Additional awards are given to the photographic departments of the school/college of each first and second prize winners.
