Christmas Island National Park

Shielded from the wind by sheer cliffs, Lily Beach is a beautiful swimming and picnic spot.

The beach has a big, sandy rock pool that is perfect for swimming when the tide is out and the sea is calm. Waves can still crash over the rock pool at any time, so caution is advised.

During big seas, Lily Beach produces magnificent sprays as large waves crash against the cliffs.

Shady trees and a gazebo make Lily Beach the ideal place to eat lunch or just sit back and soak up the views. It’s also one of the island’s best sunrise spots.

From here you can stroll to Ethel Beach along a boardwalk past nesting seabirds and spectacular blowholes.
