Join a Kakadu ranger for the Bardedjilidji Walk, which covers a range of Kakadu’s habitats.
During the walk you will experience some of the natural and cultural values for which Kakadu is dual World Heritage-listed. Your ranger will detail the plants, habitats and animals that occur in the area, and share the stories of the traditional owners.
Wind through riparian forest, Kakadu’s oldest sandstone habitats, and a tiny pocket of monsoon vine forest that has access to groundwater all year round. Along the way you’ll uncover species typical of those that line rivers throughout Kakadu and Northern Australia, and learn some fascinating facts.
This land and its surrounds have been critical to Indigenous survival for thousands of years. With a Kakadu park ranger by your side, this guided walk opens up a world of knowledge.
