Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Ranger guided activities are currently not operating at Kakadu. Please follow our News section to keep up to date with the latest updates and advice. There are a number of guided tours being offered by tourism businesses within the park and more information can be found here.
Kakadu’s wetlands and its wildlife are linked to annual seasonal cycles.
Find out how the floodplains and their birds, plants and other animals change and evolve through the seasons.
Rangers will explain the wetlands’ many essential functions and how and why the wetlands are important to Bininj. They’ll also discuss how climate change, both past and present, impact the area.
Easy 3 km loop walk.
This event does not run during the tropical summer.
