Kakadu National Park

Invitation for public comment

The Kakadu National Park Management Plan 2016–2026, Section 10.5, makes provision for the commercial take or harvest of native species by local Aboriginal people.

Under Section 10.5.4, all Category B (larger scale) proposals for the commercial take or harvest of native species must be made available for public comment.

Kakadu National Park has received a Category B proposal from Kakadu Native Plants Pty Ltd to collect the seed of native plants for commercial purposes.

The park is now inviting public comment on the proposal.
