Important COVID-19 update – Visitor restrictions apply
Travellers need to keep up-to-date with where they can travel and which areas have been declared COVID-19 hotspots, as the COVID-19 situation in Australia is continually evolving.
All visitors need to ensure that they are complying with the current travel restrictions in place by the Northern Territory Government.
Connect with Country in Kakadu, and enjoy the landscape at the special times of dusk and dawn.
Kakadu has campgrounds in all seven regions - choose from managed campgrounds with toilets, showers and picnic tables and fire pits, or get right back to nature at a bush campground which has very basic facilities such as pit toilets, barbecues and picnic tables. These bush campgrounds are unmanaged, and some have a small fee, while others are free.
There’s no need to book ahead at our campgrounds as they operate on a first-come, first-served basis, and the onsite campground manager will collect your camping fees.
Of course, there are also a number of commercial campgrounds in Kakadu. On those sites you’ll have access to the resort’s swimming pool, restaurants, shops and other facilities.
