Kakadu National Park

Bush foods tour

14–15 May 2019 — Anbangbang Billabong

This was an event at Taste of Kakadu 2019, which has now finished.

We're busy pulling together an even more exciting program for Taste 2020. Join our mailing list below to find out about events, special offers and early release tickets before anyone else does.

An authentic, interactive exploration of local bush foods with your guides from Animal Tracks Safari.

Take a walk to learn about food plants, edible insects and more. Return to the edge of the billabong for a traditional menu based on the season, which might include fish, green ants, waterlily cakes, wattleseeds, tubers and native peppermint.

Eat and chat as you watch feeding waterbirds and the sandstone face of Burrungkuy (Nourlangie) glowing in the setting sun.

  • Adult: $75
