Cultural immersion at Patonga Homestead

17–18 May 2019 — Patonga Homestead

This was an event at Taste of Kakadu 2019, which has now finished.

We're busy pulling together an even more exciting program for Taste 2020. Join our mailing list below to find out about events, special offers and early release tickets before anyone else does.

Visit an Aboriginal community to experience daily life with some of Kakadu’s traditional owners.

Hosted by the Murumburr family group, visitors will be able to sit and relax in the beautiful surrounds of the Patonga Homestead community.

This is a unique opportunity to join in community life and participate in traditional family activities.

Guests will experience:

  • Welcome to Country
  • Kinship activity
  • Walk and talk around the community and surrounds
  • Bush foods
  • Tea and damper
  • Women’s weaving
  • Clapstick making

  • Adults: $150
  • Kids (10-17 years): $75
