Join park rangers and Bininj for mouthwatering local fare slow-cooked in a ground oven.
The gungerri, or ground oven, is a traditional way of cooking food such as buffalo, barramundi and yams. The meat is placed on hot coals, covered in layers of paperbark and buried in the earth, where it cooks over several hours until it is tender and delicious.
Treat your tastebuds to some complimentary ground-oven tucker at Taste of Kakadu.
