A unique chance to see how Bininj (the Aboriginal people of northern Kakadu) dye pandanus fibres for weaving.
Watch and learn as skilled local artisans change the colour of pandanus leaves using traditional bush dyes. You can test your patience and skill by splitting the pandanus yourself.
As the fibres are dyeing you’ll enjoy stories, billy tea and fresh damper baked over hot coals.
