Australian Marine Parks

Thanks to your input we finalised the management plans for Australian Marine Parks.

The plans detail our proposed approach to managing 44 Australian Marine Parks around the country over the next ten years.

Consultation process

Between 21 July and 20 September 2017, the Director of National Parks invited feedback on draft management plans.

The Director also invited comments on a proposal to rename Commonwealth marine reserves as marine parks.

The Director of National Parks committed to an open and transparent process when drafting the plans. This included publishing your feedback.
