Up to $5.6 million available for marine parks projects

There is still time to submit your application for a share of $5.6 million in grants to support the management of Australian Marine Parks.

Grants of between $50,000 and $500,000 are available to all marine park users through round 5 of the Our Marine Parks Grants program.

The grants have already supported 91 projects around the country with a total of $28.2 million since their inception in 2018.

First Nations groups, regional communities, researchers and other marine park users are all encouraged to apply.

Projects funded through previous rounds have increased First Nations peoples' involvement in managing, protecting and restoring Sea Country, and supported scientific research and monitoring of a range of important marine species.

Applications close at 9pm AEDT on Tuesday 27 October.
