Booderee National Park closure extended until Wednesday 16 March
Due to damage from the recent severe weather and for the safety of visitors, community and staff, Booderee National Park will remain closed until Wednesday 16 March 2022.
We understand that visitors will be disappointed by the extended closure of Booderee and apologise for the inconvenience. Recent rain and strong winds in the Shoalhaven resulted in flooding of some areas of the park and fallen trees throughout the park including in campgrounds, across roads and walking tracks. There is beach erosion at Green Patch and Cave Beach and some walkways to beaches have also been eroded.
Booderee National Park staff have begun an extensive clean-up operation to make the park safe for visitors before re-opening.
Campsite bookings will be cancelled during this time and refunds will be provided. Please contact the Visitor Centre on +61 429 008 017 or booderee.mail@awe.gov.au for more information.
We thank visitors and the community again for their understanding and will provide updates about the clean-up efforts and re-opening plans in the days ahead.
