Changes to fee timetable, in response to industry feedback
Thank you to everyone for advice and feedback on the first season of our new fee structure.
The park adopted a new fee structure from 1 April 2016, incorporating both ‘dry’ and ‘wet’ season (tropical summer) prices to reflect seasonal access to some of the park’s key visitor sites.
Most of you advised us that it would suit you better to have the ‘dry’ season prices kick in from 15 May, to better coincide with site openings on park.
Traditionally during May key sites such as Gunlom, Ubirr and Maguk become accessible to visitors after wet season flooding.
We’re also working on a site opening strategy, designed to get key sites open earlier in 2017, and a Facilities Guideline which sets standard of maintenance for infrastructure and facilities within the park.
More details on Kakadu’s fee structure are available on our passes and permits page.
