Civil works at the Booderee National Park entry precinct will continue during the upcoming school holiday period from 7 - 17 April 2026.

To help reduce disruption during busy periods:

  • no works will take place between 3–7 April (Easter long weekend period)
  • no works will occur on Saturday 11 April.

The works form part of the broader entry precinct upgrade, which is improving safety, traffic flow and visitor access to the park.

What this means for visitors

There will be no disruption to visitors entering the park, and there will be minimal to no impact for visitors, residents and staff.

Booderee National Park and the Visitor Centre will remain open throughout the school holiday period.

While some contractor and vehicle movement will occur, traffic management arrangements ensure there will be no disruption to traffic flow or access to the Visitor Centre. Construction vehicles will use alternative access points away from public areas.

Work undertaken over this period includes excavation, civil works and footpath and kerb installation.

Staying informed

Booderee National Park and the Visitor Centre will remain open during the works. Visitors are encouraged to follow signage and directions from staff while travelling through the entry area.

Continuing works during this time will help maintain project momentum and avoid delays, while also ensuring the site remains safe and well-presented for visitors.

Further updates will be provided as the project progresses.
