Yurmikmik carpark works update

Motor Car Falls carpark will temporarily reopen tomorrow, Tuesday 17 June, following recent works to clear the site in preparation for upgrades. 

This forms part of a broader project to upgrade the Yurmikmik walking track, bridges and carparks. With this stage of the works now complete, the next phase will begin with the closure of Boulder Creek carpark from tomorrow, Tuesday 17 June, for approximately two weeks to allow for clearing in preparation for upgrades. 

Following the clearing of both carparks, the following works will begin:

• new toilet block
• carpark improvements
• construction of two pedestrian bridges to allow year-round access to the falls
• safer, more efficient layout including access for tour buses
• improved access road from Gimbat Road
• better drainage for year-round access to the site.
