Welcome back to Kakadu! The following sites are either open now to visitors or will be reopening from Friday, 3 July 2020 as indicated as part of a staged reopening of the national park.

South Alligator region

  • Mamukala Wetlands
  • Kungarre walk
  • Two Mile Hole – camping and day use
  • Alligator Billabong track open only to high clearance 4WD vehicles to Alligator Billabong from Arnhem Highway only. Visitors must exit via Arnhem Highway also. Sites include:
    • Red Lily Billabong (Djunda)
    • Bucket Billabong (Ngarrababa)
    • Alligator Billabong (Gurdurunguranjdju)

East Alligator (Erre) region

  • Manngarre walk
  • Bardedjilidji walk
  • Ubirr
  • Merl 1 – camping and day use

Burrungkuy (Nourlangie) region

  • Burrungkuy (Nourlangie Rock), Anbangbang (walk part-open), Nawurlandja lookout
  • Mirray Lookout
  • Kubara and Nanguluwurr walks
  • Malanbanjbanjdju – camping and caravan use areas
  • Burdulba camping area
  • Djarradjin (Muirella Park) – camping and boat ramp
  • Sandy Billabong (Djirrilba) – camping and day use

Jim Jim region

  • Mardukal campsite
  • Jim Jim Falls*
  • Karnamarr (Garnamarr) campground*

Mary River region

  • Bukbukluk lookout
  • Yurmikmik (Boulder Creek and Motor Car Falls)
  • Gungurul campsite and walks
  • Kambolgie campground
  • Ferny Gully and Igoymarrwa (Moline Rockhole) – limited access
  • Gunlom* – lower pool and campground only
  • Maguk* – lower pool and campground only
  • Jarrangbarnmi (Koolpin Gorge)* – access restricted by permit system to max 40 visitors at any one time

  • Two Mile Hole

  • East Alligator River (upstream and downstream ramps)
