Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park

Getting around Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park is easy.

All roads are sealed, so driving around the park in a normal 2WD vehicle is not a problem.

If you don’t have your own vehicle to get around, you can rent one at the airport, join one of the many bus tours or purchase an Uluru hop on hop off bus pass. There are no taxis or other public transport.

Driving times

Some approximate driving times are:

  • Ayers Rock Resort to Uluru: 20 minutes
  • Ayers Rock Resort to Kata Tjuta: 45 minutes
  • Ayers Rock Resort to Talinguru Nyakunytjaku: 30 minutes
  • Ayers Rock Resort to the airport: 10 minutes

Getting around the rock

To explore the base of Uluru, you can either drive, cycle, hop on a Segway or see it on foot.

Getting around Ayers Rock Resort and Yulara

Ayers Rock Resort is compact enough to walk around. The resort also offers a free shuttle bus to take you between your accommodation and the town square in Yulara.
