Christmas Island National Park

A thirty-minute drive from town, Dolly Beach is pretty, quiet and teeming with wildlife.

Accessible by a forest boardwalk, this secluded beach is fringed by coconut palms and boasts a wonderful coral reef. There are a number of shallow rock pools as well as a freshwater stream.

Marine turtles nest on Dolly Beach, and you’ll often come across the tracks of adults and hatchlings in the sand. Giant robber crabs can also be seen in the area.

The peaceful atmosphere, fresh water and flat ground makes Dolly Beach an attractive place for camping, but you’ll need to get a permit first.
