Snorkelling is a must-do activity on Christmas Island – the biodiversity of our waters is simply breathtaking.

Many beaches have a reef close to shore, so you can simply put on a mask and fins to start exploring the underwater environment.

You’ll see a dazzling range of fish along the reef and will often find yourself swimming alongside turtles or dolphins. Whale sharks visit the island from November to April, giving you a chance to get close to these gentle giants of the deep.
