Australian National Botanic Gardens

Following the ACT Government’s announcement of the ACT’s COVID-19 Pathway Forward, we’re pleased to advise that the Australian National Botanic Gardens, as an ‘outdoor attraction’, is permitted to re-open to the public on 29 October 2021.

We look forward to welcoming visitors back to the Gardens from 29 October 2021 and thank you for your patience and support. We will provide further information about our re-opening plans and ongoing COVID-Safe operational plans in the coming weeks.

The Australian National Botanic Gardens are open from 8.30 am to 5.00 pm every day except Christmas Day.

Gates are locked outside of these times. Please note that parts of the Gardens may be closed during potentially dangerous weather conditions such as high winds or high fire danger.

Visitor Centre and Botanical Bookshop

Open 9.30 am – 4.30 pm every day of the week (closed Christmas Day).

Pollen cafe

Open 9.00 am – 2.30 pm every day of the week (closed Christmas Day).

Jindii Eco Spa

Open 8.00 am – 5.00 pm Monday to Wednesday, 8.00 am – 8.00 pm Thursday, 8.00 am - 5.00 pm Friday and Saturday (closed Sundays and Christmas Day). Please contact Jindii directly for parking arrangements after 5.00 pm.
