Booderee National Park

Wednesday 27 January 2021

We are pleased to advise that the fire that broke out within Booderee National Park on Tuesday 26 January 2021 is currently under control.

The park will remain closed today Wednesday 27 January 2021 so we can ensure the safety of visitors, community and staff.

There is no current threat to property, however Booderee National Park has been closed and people are advised to stay away from the area.

We would like to thank the local emergency services, Wreck Bay fire brigade and park staff for their outstanding efforts to bring the fire under control. We would also like to thank community and visitors for their understanding and prompt response to evacuation measures.

We will provide further updates when the park is ready to open again. The park closure will be re-assessed tomorrow, Thursday 28 January 2021, but Cave Beach Road will be closed until further notice due to safety concerns from fire damage.
