Booderee National Park

Thursday 28 October 2021

There is a new process for booking camping sites at Booderee National Park for the upcoming summer holiday period - 17 December 2021 to 26 February 2022.

In the past, Booderee National Park has run a ballot system to manage the large volume of requests we receive for campsites during the summer holiday period.

This year, with uncertainty around the impact of COVID-19 on restrictions, we did not run a ballot for summer holiday camping. Instead, we will use our online booking system which will necessarily operate on a first-come, first-served basis.

We plan to open summer holiday camping bookings in the coming weeks and subscribers to Booderee ‘Stay in Touch’ emails will be the first to know when this happens. Be sure to keep an eye on your inbox over the coming weeks for an email from us advising when bookings open.

There are a limited number of campsites and we expect a high demand for camping this summer holiday period.

You may wish to advise family and friends, who would like to book a campsite this summer at Booderee, to sign-up to receive our email alerts so they don’t miss the notification. This can be done at the bottom of the Booderee National Park camping webpage.

Our online booking system will allocate individual campsites automatically and, as has been the case in previous years, we are unable to accommodate requests for specific campsites in each location. The general booking rules that will apply during the summer holiday booking period are as follows:

  1. Three-night minimum booking
  2. Two-week maximum booking
  3. Campsite allocations are made automatically and specific campsites cannot be requested
  4. An individual can book a maximum of one site.

Further information on campsite bookings is available here.

Booderee National Park is monitoring the COVID-19 situation carefully. Jervis Bay Territory (JBT) and Australian Capital Territory (ACT) public health orders apply in the park and visitors to Booderee should monitor the JBT and ACT COVID-19 websites closely for information regarding access restrictions.
