Australian National Botanic Gardens

Mon 25 & Sat 30 September 2023 — Park in the carpark off Clunies Ross Street and meet at the Jindii Gate

Visit the Gardens after closing time to uncover the stories of our native plants in a whole new light.

Experience the sounds, smells and textures of the Gardens as you spy for the nocturnal wildlife that have made their home here. Join us for a 1 hour walk around the Gardens after the sun sets to discover the magic of the Gardens after dark.

To ensure you enjoy your experience, please:

  • wear sensible footwear, appropriate clothing for our changeable spring weather, and please do not bring a torch.
  • arrive 15 minutes before your tour start time, as tours will leave as scheduled. Late arrivals will not be able to join departed tours.
  • park in the carpark off Clunies Ross Street (between CSIRO and the Gardens) and meet at the lower Jindii Gate.

Note: these tours will consist of an hour of decent-paced walking outside. The routes will include uphill sections, stairs, and unpaved areas.

If you have any accessibility requirements or concerns, please contact the Gardens on 0418492450 or at education@anbg.gov.au.

Tours will be cancelled in case of bad weather or dangerous conditions. Any cancellations or changes will be communicated to ticket holders, and alternative dates provided.

Children must be 6 years or over and able to walk for the duration of the tour. Prams are not allowed at this event. Babies that can be carried for the duration of the event are welcome but please advise education@anbg.gov.au if you wish to bring a baby.
