Australian National Botanic Gardens

The Australian National Botanic Gardens is open and welcomes visitors from 8.30 am to 5 pm every day of the year (except 25 December).

This ambitious garden has been carefully designed to showcase a diverse range of banksias, featuring over 70 different types of banksias from across Australia and telling stories of their place in the Australian landscape.

Explore themes including how we’ve cultivated some of the difficult-to-grow banksias, life cycles of banksias and pollination, and banksias and fire.
