This is a beautiful flowering gum tree with vibrant mid-pink to red flowers. It has become a popular addition to many Australian gardens. They typically flower between December to March, and can be seen in the Booderee Botanic Gardens. You might be lucky enough to see a flower or two at other times of the year.
This flowering gum produces nectar rich flowers, attracting bees and nectar-loving birds. It prefers to grow in sunny spots or those with light shade and is a drought resistant plant.
