Australian National Botanic Gardens

Explore seasonal changes in the Gardens with a selection of our most interesting plants – many of which are flowering or fruiting now.

Your senses will come alive on this walk, which introduces you to flowering and fruiting Australian plants and some of the garden’s most beautiful foliage.

The plants are chosen for their flowers, fruit or foliage, and each is accompanied by additional information. It’s a great experience for gardeners or amateur botanists.

The Friends of the Gardens keep a close eye on what’s happening to create this self-guided walk. The route changes every two weeks to take in the most spectacular seasonal plants.

Suitable for all ages, the walk can be done at your own pace.

To get started, simply pick up a guide at the Visitor Centre and follow the numbered posts. You can also download the latest guide from the Friends of the Gardens website.
