The Australian National Botanic Gardens is open and welcomes visitors from 8.30 am to 5 pm every day of the year (except 25 December).

Step back in time on this family adventure trail to meet the enormous creatures that inspired myths and legends, art and culture.
Enjoy a guided walk along the Aboriginal Plant Use Trail as part of the Canberra and Region Heritage Week.
Look at Australian plants with new eyes as you discover the importance of plants to First Nations people in Australia. This Ranger-guided walk will take you along the Aboriginal Plant Use Trail where you will learn about how Australia’s plants are used for food and medicine, to make tools and weapons, and for ceremonial practice.
