Important COVID-19 update – Visitor restrictions

COVID-19 safety measures remain in place at Kakadu National Park. The Northern Territory Government has implemented a number of health directions to keep the community safe.

It is important for travellers to keep up to date with the COVID-19 situation in Australia as it is continually evolving. Read more.

NT Health also encourages visitors to the NT to protect themselves against mosquitoes due to the presence of Japanese encephalitis.

Set within the grounds of the beautiful Cooinda Lodge resort, Cooinda camping ground is the ideal location to stage your Kakadu adventure.

The shaded camping area is surrounded by the spectacular Kakadu landscape and located close to Yellow Water (Ngurrungurrudjba) Billabong where you’ll see the unique wildlife that makes this region so special.

The resort offers 100 powered sites and 200 unpowered grassed sites. You’ll also have access to the Cooinda Lodge pool, restaurants, bars and shop.

Friendly staff at the caravan park can provide information about Yellow Water cruises along with seasonal 4WD adventure tours.
