Ground oven by the local Hunter family – preparation

Experience a traditional ground oven cook-up. Come and view the creation and preparation of the ground oven from 10 am.

Then come back at 7pm to see the unveiling of the delicious feast and taste the final product.

The Hunter family are Kakadu Park Rangers, born and bred at Mudjinberri Buffalo Station near Jabiru.

Traditional Owners of the upper reaches of East Alligator River, the family have a long association with buffalo and cooking ‘Kunkerri’ ground ovens.
