About the report
This report analyses the existing data in the collection and sightings databases of the South Australian Museum.
Analyses included biological data (species presence, distribution, seasonal trends) and threats, including those from human activities.
Special consideration was given to beaked whales and the type of entanglement in which any cetacean was involved.
This was one of many reports and components of information on which the Biologically Important Areas for the South-west Marine Bioregional Plan was based.
