Summary
In 2019, staff from Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service and Parks Australia conducted an assessment of the Coringa-Herald Islets and cays in the Coral Sea Marine Park. The assessment of the health of environmental indicators on six cays included: vegetation; nesting of turtles and seabirds; drone image mapping; sand temperature checks for turtle hatchlings sex ratios; satellite tagging of eight turtles; and detection of invasive species.
