This is the second Management Plan for Ningaloo Marine Park (Commonwealth Waters).
This management plan expired on 2 July 2009.
Interim management arrangements for Ningaloo Marine Park (Commonwealth Waters) commenced on 3 July 2009 and will remain in place until the development of a new management plan at the conclusion of the marine bioregional planning process for the north-west marine region.
The timing of the next management plan is dependent on the marine bioregional planning process in the north-west marine region. The first step of the planning process, the regional profile for the region, was released in November 2008.
