Progress in implementing the National Representative System of Marine Protected Areas (NRSMPA) is a report to the Natural Resource Management Ministerial Council that sets out the cross-jurisdictional progress in implementing the NRSMPA.
The report was prepared by the National Marine Protected Areas Working Group reporting to the Marine and Coastal Committee.
The Working Group consisted of representatives from the Australian, state and Northern Territory governments, and was chaired by the Australian Government Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts.
The report was endorsed by the Natural Resource Management Ministerial Council on 18 April 2008.
The report includes 2004 figures from the national Collaborative Australian Protected Areas Database (CAPAD) and other information current at 2007.
