Over twenty innovative and inspiring projects receive funding under the second round of the Our Marine Parks Grants Program.

Over twenty projects worth $6 million are being funded under the second round of the Australian Government’s Our Marine Parks Grants Program.

The projects will build our understanding of Australian Marine Park values and connect more Australians to our incredible marine environment.

Successful organisations include tourism operators, regional councils, Indigenous corporations, private businesses and universities.

These projects include building the capacity for Traditional Owners to play a greater role in the management of sea country. They also include the installation of sustainable infrastructure in marine parks and educational tools at key tourist attractions, to build a greater awareness of the importance of our marine parks and help boost local tourism economies.

Successful projects also support research within the marine parks to improve our understanding of these marine areas and the biodiversity within our oceans.
