National Marine Bioregionalisation of Australia
Department of the Environment and Heritage (National Oceans Office), 2005. ISBN 1 877043 63 X.
About the report
The National Marine Bioregionalisation provides a picture of the spatial distribution of the broadscale physical and biological components of Australia’s marine jurisdiction, including only the offshore island territories of:
- Cocos (Keeling)
- Macquarie Islands.
It complements the IMCRA v3.3 management framework by extending regionalisations beyond the continental shelf to cover all of Australia’s Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).
